Another Tour de France has come and gone...

Ok, so another Tour de France has come and gone, but with quite a few differences.  Not the usual teams dominating, not the usual sprinters, not even the usual predicted winners.  Its was great to see everyone gunning for their place in the sun; and did that produce a tour that will go a long way as one of the hardest and most memorable.  Personally, I was delighted to see the return of the French cyclists; two on the podium and 3 in the top ten!  But what got me going the most was to see the return of the vintage look.  Jerseys and bikes alike.  Lotto with their Ridley bike looked great. Team IAM, Bellini, and even Garmin Sharp were showing hints of vintage inspiration.  Lets just leave the helmet out of it for now and all sponsor tattoos inked all over them (tough being a pro!).  Till next year when they start in the Netherlands, Utrecht is a city that has embraced cycling more than anywhere else......"cycle de style".
